Time-line: 1930s India.

Dev was born to a rich household, surprisingly he was an only son and was adored by everyone in his family. He was well educated and a very good painter, soon it was his time to get married and the matchmaker found the perfect girl unfortunately the matchmaker said the wrong birth date of the girl, the matchmaker mentioned she was 9 months younger but in reality she was 3 months older, he had her year wrong. Soon their marriage took place however they found out her real age but it was too late even though the neighbours shamed her and told her mother-in-law that she'd be too bold, would make Dev listen to her, they warned Dev to be cautious. However, Dev's mother accepted her and said she'd be a good daughter-in-law, since Dev was still not mature enough she'd be good at guiding him. Dev though took their warnings seriously and tried to act tough, more mature in front of her.
