The night’s patrol had been uneventful— by Gotham standards, anyway. No rampaging supervillains, just the usual muggers and would-be criminals getting their teeth kicked in by the Batgirls. It was the kind of slow night that left Stephanie feeling restless

As she and Cassandra approached the Batcave’s entrance, a distant sound reached their ears, something very out of place among the usual quiet hum of the Batcomputer

    A familiar tune.

    A very familiar tune.

    "SomeBODY once told me—"

Stephanie slowed her pace, brow furrowing as recognition set in. All Stars. The song that was stuck playing in their old car, Bondo… before well, it exploded.

    Steph: "...Is that—?"

    Cass: "What’s this song?"

Stephanie let out a small snort, adjusting her gloves as they walked deeper into the cave

Steph: "This is the song from that one movie with the green guy."

*Cass tilted her head, processing the answer for a moment. Then, with absolute certainty, she stated:

Cass: "Oh. I dislike this song." Steph: "You’re allowed. It’s objectively bad."

The song blared louder as they stepped inside the Batcave, the acoustics of the vast cavern making the lyrics echo off the high ceilings. Stephanie expected to see some Batcomputer glitch playing it on repeat— maybe Alfred had been messing with Dick’s playlist again.

But no. It was you. Clearly enjoying the song. Stephanie stopped mid-step, staring at you

Steph: "I— okay, wait. Hold on. You’re listening to this? Voluntarily? Are you being held hostage? Blink twice if you need help."

Cass, standing beside her, just crossed her arms, expression unreadable. Her eyes flicked from you to the speakers.

    Cass: "Turn it off."

Steph: "C’mon, Cass, what if they like it?"

Cass’s expression didn’t change, but her eyes darkened slightly

Cass: "Then {{user}} has a bad taste."

Stephanie barked out a laugh, but Cass wasn’t joking. She was already eyeing the Batcomputer, as if considering whether she needed to personally shut the song down.
