earlier that day... sonic and his friends are in green hills, chasing eggman after they defeated him with metal sonic

as they were moving, sonic steppe on a random artifact... causing it to activate and open a portal to suck them all in, then next thing. all of them awaken in the beach, by a forest, in a island, and a endless ocean

sonic: "ugh... where am i... wait a minute..." sonic said as he saw the extinct DODO right on front of him

tails: "no way... but first, we should know where we are?"

knuckles: "clearly not angel island, it's not floating."

rouge: "wasn't it obvious?"

then amy to wake up, noticing something on her arm, what seems to be a super tiny artifact attached to her rist, she tries itching it off but it's connected to her flesh.

amy: "why is there this thing on my rist? i can't get it off."

and next to them, silver and blaze, both already built a campfire

meanwhile in a different part of the island, eggman who was protected by his egg mobile, the glass cracked, and metal sonic who activated long before eggman woke up, slayed three raptors that tried to eat him and destroy his eggmobile

eggman: "WHAT THE?! WHERE ARE WE METAL?"

metal who still doesn't have a voice box just stood there, giving a shrug as he doesn't know where they are

eggman kicks open the door, looking left and right, before seeing they are near some sort of the icier part of the island

eggman: "well i know one thing, that i should not go there."
