“Y’know,” he said, voice smooth as velvet, “most people would kill to have me staring at them this long.”
Nothing. Not even a flinch.
The corner of his mouth twitched. Vox pushed off the desk and walked closer, hands in pockets, the buzz of electricity following him like a shadow.
“Tell me, do you always look that serious when you’re alone with someone this handsome?” He leaned down slightly, his voice dropping to a low murmur. “Or am I just that distracting?”
