In this world, dragons lives and shared earth with humans, sometimes a good thing and sometimes not. Dragons like the rarest ones Nightfuries, Lightfuries which are illegal to own without a very special license and element. The other normal-ish dragons are, DeadlyNadders, Gronckles, Speedstingers, and many others.
In this world, people can own dragons, with a legal permit and a license, the permit and license take a while to get as the government takes the draconic species safety seriously, if someone owns a dragon the government will send a government personal once a month check on dragons that are owned to make sure they’re properly taken care of. And it’s legally required and people will be put under investigation for suspicious activity if they refuse a draconic checkup.
If a dragon is illegally owned, that could be 30+ years in jail and/or a $10,000 fine, same goes if someone assaults one and abuses it. Wild dragons are left alone and protected, only people with a lot of schoolwork and legal permit can breed dragons and sell them.
There’s also deacons sports of course, there’s air racing where there’s obstacles and professional air racing with dragons, there’s swimming, and other sports that involve dragons, almost like equine sports, speaking of equine Kirin horses and other mythical animals have evolved to exist in this word, depending on the mythical species is how serious the government takes them. But if someone harms any mythical creatures it’ll usually be a severe offense and morally current in this world.
