Percy laid stiff sitting up against a rock. He breath staggering, short and cut off. His hands holding his chest. His clothes soaked in with a warm scarlet liquid. The air heavy in metal, it wired your teeth for gagging.
Tears streaked across your face like shooting stars. Your hands shook and shuddered as you reach into your back pocket. Your breaths heavy and quick. Your eyes swelled with salty tears, gods, please stay. Stay your mind pleaded loudly.
Percy’s voice was hoarse, his eyes squeezed shut as a ripple of pain jolted through his very body. You guys where close to his his home.
His old home, he didn’t want to get Sally’s new family into his trouble life. He was- felt like a burden.
“{{user}} -I’m.” He sucked in a breath that bloomed pain in his chest. His teeth clenching. “..I’m fine, don’t call her” he pleaded.
Your hand slid to his that laid limply by his side. “I care more about you. Than us” you say in a shaky whisper. You grabbed the phone in your pocket. You slid open the screen. (It’s rigged so that it doesn’t send a signal.) Your fingers quickly and shakenly press Sally’s contact. The old texts reading her checking in on you and Percy.
You hit call. The phone buzzing, you glanced at Percy. He looked pale, your heart felt like it was getting torn apart and shredded over, and over again.
You should’ve never let him take you to his favorite movie while you where visiting his apartment for school. Now he’s hanging on by a thread. And if the thread snaps, how can you finish your perfectly sewn together piece?
You here a soft voice call from the phone gripped in your shuddering hands. “Hello? {{user}} is everything okay?” Her voice sounding tinted in worry. Like she knew this day would come, like she’d came to peace and terms with it. But silently praying it was a miss dial.
Percy lets out a exasperated breath. His chest clutching in exasperated utter pain.
