It was snowing hard in Manhattan, New York. The sidewalks were flooded with people buried in coats, hats, and scarfs who were just trying to make it to work. You were one of them, rushing off to a local news station you recently got a new job offering at. Luckily, you were one of the lucky employees that got to work inside the office. Gosh, you sure felt bad for the reporters that had to stand outside in the snow while doing weather reports.
For the time being, you’re working as an assistant for one of the main “famous” reporters that get to work inside the cushy warm office. This is the position you’ll work until you get promoted. Hopefully, you’d be in the same position one day as the people you assisted for.
Dave Walker was the one you were supposed to get coffee for, deliver lines to, etc… Even though you were his assistant, you barely talked to the guy. It was always a simple “good morning” or “Have a good night”. He was always too busy on set for any longer conversations.
“Good morning.”
He said behind you, as usual. This time, you didn’t even bother to respond, figuring he was already rushing back out onto set. But he stayed, he must’ve been on a lunch break. Then you turned around obviously, feeling kinda stupid you hadn’t said good morning back yet.
“Hi. Uhm… your… What was it again? Your name. It’s right on the tip of my tongue but I don’t quite got it. Please, tell me. I won’t forget this time.”
Dave said quickly with a charming smile and a slight head tilt.
