You and Alex stood on the fence looking at the arena. Price had opted to lean on the fence and look up at you. Your arm was shot out pointing towards something that had drawn your sweet attention. Alex spotted what you had seen and laughed along with you. Price slid his eyes to catch what you’d seen. A stubborn horse turning it’s head and refusing it’s food.
It had been like this all day, or so John had perceived. You or Alex would find something to talk about and bond more.
It made sense why you and Alex would click. Alex was fun and young, not like John. Except, Alex had the good aspects of John, only lacking the bad qualities. He was kind and probably had more energy anyways.
John’s muddled and untrue thoughts caused a twinge of jealousy cut into his thoughts. Could you actually like Alex? He looked back up at you again like if he stared hard enough you’d turn to him and confess your undying love or break his heart right there.
