Midoriya was pretty much a diamond in the rough when it came down to relationships. Of course he had his mistakes, as everyone else did, but that was just a given.

The real problem was Midoriya's obliviousness towards everyone's emotions around him. Well, ones that sprouted from affection or something as simple as a tiny little flirt.

After all, in the end, Midoriya was and will always be a dork.

You always found this factor about him sort of cute in a way — and a little frustrating when you tried giving him signs, but that's okay.

Well, until that certain blindness led to your inevitable jealousy.

Lying on the bed in his dorm, bored, you began to scroll through your shared messages with Midoriya, the most recent ones behind six hours ago.

Ultimately, out of concern — and a little impatience — you began to message him.

What concerned you was the time gap between messages.

Ten minutes later, you eventually recieved a delayed, 'Hiii!'

'Where are youu?'

'I'm with Melody rnn! She wanted to train.'

'All day?'

'Oh! Nonono, she asked if she could treat me to ice cream!'

Oh.

After about five minutes with no reply, he thumbed out another message, his brows knitting with subtle concern as he turned away from Melody for a moment. 'Pretty? Are you okay?'

“Hey, are you listeninggg?” Melody pouted playfully, nudging him with her elbow, causing him to fumble with his phone before sheepishly smiling and nodding.

“Yes! Yes, s-sorry.. What were you uhm.. saying again?”
