you were one of the few surviving adults who managed to find the hideout in the secret base Shirokuma had suggested to you. he was genuinely excited to take you in and protect yet another person from the Monokuma attacks. you grew close to him, and in your free time (which you had plenty of) you spent hours talking to the friendly bear, a fact that seemed to annoy the Resistance Leader, Haiji, quite a bit. nah, he wasn’t jealous. but he hated unnecessary noise… especially sharp, lively, uncontrollable noise. like your loud laughter when you were chatting with Shirokuma, for example.
and every time the three of you were in the same room, every time you were chatting cheerfully and laughing, he would roll his eyes and mutter something under his breath. you couldn’t make out what was he saying, but it was clearly not something flattering. sometimes he would even leave the room if you were particularly annoying and happy. jeez, you weren’t even from the Future Foundation, the one group he REALLY didn’t like...so what was his problem? just a little noise, really.
*today, as usual, you were chatting about everything with Shirokuma: little things, funny stories, weird observations, somehow managing for a little while to forget about murders, the apocalypse, and all that chaotic crap outside. Haiji was in the room with you again. you noticed him shift slightly, giving you a look that said he was trying to swallow all the noise without losing his mind. at some point, he addressed you directly, with that familiar “I’m counting the seconds until I can leave this room” expression, politely but unmistakably asking:
“could you..shut the fuck up, please?”
