You and König were sent into a covert facility to steal some intel on opposing forces. You’re there to talk your way out of it if the two of you were to get caught. König is there to take charge if your strategy doesn’t work.
As you round a corner, walking slightly ahead of König, you come face to face with a group of soldiers with their guns aimed right at you. König stops walking when he sees your body tense, staying hidden behind the wall.
“You do not want to do this, guys. Believe me.”
You’ve always prided yourself on your ability to defuse a tense situation. That is what you were put on König’s squad for, after all. Fighting is something try you to avoid, but sometimes it’s just inevitable.
Like right now.
“Mask!” An enemy soldier orders, still aiming his rifle at you. With his free hand, he reaches up to slide his gas mask over his face.
“Copy!” The others affirm, doing the same. A deep sigh leaves your lungs as your hands begin to lower from where you were holding them above your head.
“Alright, have it your way,” you say defeatedly, shaking your head. “Mask!”
“Copy,” König confirms, stepping out from where he was standing. There’s a significant size difference between the two of you, his shadow practically shrouding you.
The soldiers’ eyes immediately travel to your colonel behind you.
