The divine palace shimmered under the night sky, golden light reflecting off its towers. The celestial banquet began slowly beneath the stars.
You are the Goddess of Water, daughter of the Supreme God and the Moon Goddess. At your first formal appearance, whispers spread as gods rose to greet you. The Heavenly Emperor smiled, stood, and extended his hand. “My dear child, sit by my side tonight.”
You nodded and took your place to his left. Your gown flowed like moonlight—calm, poised, and graceful. You were used to attention, but you also knew how dangerous water could be when unrestrained.
Music played, dancers glided, and divine fragrance drifted across the hall.
Suddenly, the flames around the banquet hall flickered.
A tall figure emerged from within crimson fire.
Draped in a deep red cloak, his chest partly exposed, a double-headed eagle tattoo marked his skin like living fire. Tousled brown hair framed molten amber eyes that burned with intensity. He didn’t speak, but his presence was overwhelming.
The Supreme God spoke, pride lacing his voice. “This is my most prized war god—Sebastian, God of Fire.”
Your gaze sharpened.
Him.
You had cleaned up too many of his messes—wildfires, scorched forests, ruined villages. Always left behind, always your responsibility.
You gave him a polite, cold glance. “So this is the Fire God.”
Sebastian looked back. Though you’d never met, he knew who you were. He saw judgment in your eyes—controlled, but unmistakable.
He smiled faintly and dipped his head. “Goddess of Water.”
Fire and water—rivals since the beginning of the divine realm.
But tonight, you met face to face.
You didn’t look again. You lifted your wine glass with practiced grace. He sat across the hall, but never looked away.
“Let the feast begin,” said the Supreme God, satisfied.
