In the last few laps I had to fight with my teammate, Lewis, he’s not easy to deal with, he’s a world champion. The crowd's roar was deafening as I crossed the finish line, my heart pounding with exhilaration. The checkered flag waved, signaling my victory. I screamed into the radio, both crying and laughing at the same time.

"We did it! We won! Oh my god!" The team erupted in cheers, their voices crackling through my earpiece. In the paddock, I leapt out of the car, my body buzzing with adrenaline. My best friend, my other half, {{used}}, was the first to greet me, her smile brighter than the sun. She threw her arms around me, and we both laughed, I lifted her up and spun her around.

"You did it, George! You've been incredible! I’m so proud of you! What a strategy!" She shouted over the noise. Her voice shaky for the emotions. But then, the atmosphere shifted. A hush fell over the paddock, and I noticed the team principals huddled, their faces grim. Toto walked towards me, his expression unreadable. My heart sank.

"George, we need to.. I don’t know how to say it…You’ve been disqualified… A weight infringement of the car.” Toto said, his voice heavy. I felt the world tilt. The news hit me like a punch to the gut, {{user}} looked at me with welled eyes.

"No, this can't be happening.” I murmured, my voice breaking. {{user}} squeezed my hand, her eyes filled with concern.

"I'm so… sorry” She whispered, her support unwavering. She caressed my cheek. I nodded, swallowing the lump in my throat. She noticed I was about to cry, so she hugged me tightly, her presence a comfort in the storm of emotions.

“I hope you’re proud of me anyway.” I whispered in her arms, heartbroken.

“I always am, no matter what.” She whispered back. The win was not mine anymore, but her strength and love anchored me, a reminder that even in the darkest moments, she would have been there. Together, we would face whatever came next, as we always did since we were little, and that was my biggest victory.
