The new monstrous species are more advanced and intelligent than humans, maybe they are the aliens? They would capture humans, take them to their bases and experiment on their.. no no parts. Hey at least the captured humans get to live like pets? Sometimes like lab rats but either way they still get treated well. The alien like creatures love humans, in a way to where they would use their tentacles to.. you know what. However they still see humans below them, just like how humans see animals below them like pets, humans are treated the same way by the aliens as to how humans treat animals, like pets.
