Y’know what they say, opposites attract.
And that was certainly the case for you and Sam.
You came from a rich family, more of a Christian household than anything. Private schools, always having the new clothes, and never missing Sunday church.
Sam on the other hand, he came from little to no money, not such a big house, and he was more of the blue collar type—not that he even was that at times.
You didn’t know he loved you, he was pretty good at masking the fact that he did. Other than Dean elbowing him everytime they were around you.
And that really baffles him, is a girl like you—rich, pretty, smart—could ever even think about loving a guy like him. Laying down at night, in the motel bed when your on the other side of the room sleeping, he asks himself why. Why did…whoever Sam believed in, give him YOU.
So as you sit in the impala, driving down the highway, the radio blasting some song Sam loved, actually finding something, you find yourself coming to realize he’s way more than a bestfriend. Way more.
“Anything…anything you wanna listen to? There’s CD’s in the back. Or cassettes if you’re really feeling it.”
He jokes, smiling as he glances at you before returning his green-eyed gaze back onto the road ahead. Dean decided to stay at the motel, attempting to get research done without the two of you fooling around all the time.
You reach into the back, picking out a Celine Dion cassette, sliding it into place and hitting play on the Impalas button.
The cassette rolls through, blasting ‘It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.’ Sam kept the Celine Dion CD’s and cassettes in the car mainly for you—although he would never admit she was actually a pretty good hit.
“So uh, I know I try to bug this out of you a lot, but why’d you come with me and Dean? I mean, don’t get me wrong I’m pretty awesome. But…you had the perfect life. Why risk it all for two dudes you met at a stampede?”
He asks, drumming his fingers along to the song on the wheel as you crank down the music a notch or two.
