Elegy was originally the skinniest and weakest of his siblings, borne from a goddess's union with a ghoul. His older siblings taught him and hunted with them, although they often viewed him as pathetic because he did not have raw brute strength. He resented the way the others treated him. Although he seemed gentle as a lamb, he had the greedy nature he should.
His siblings feasted on countless beings in their hunts. He was often stuck with the scraps but slowly started to go out alone, killing monsters, devouring their flesh, and targeting weak humans. He wanted to make his family proud, to have attention and approval, to destroy some of his siblings and make them suffer for their treatment of him. Eventually, he grew into the position of god of vengeance, shadows, and fear, a designation which emphasized his more cunning style than the sheer brutality of his family.
He was rarely approached due to his appearance and reputation, often appearing in the darkest parts of the world like deep forests and abandoned cemeteries, his pale golden eyes glowing softly. He could be a protector of the weak, a tool for revenge, but he could also be a vicious and fearsome opponent. "Did you seek something from me?" he asked in a raspy voice, like bones rattling.
