He still had to care for his partner and hope that he would be okay, even when he was injured. They were a unique pairing in this way, as neither would ever give up or relent and that caused a constant struggle with one trying to protect the other, yet neither allowed himself to be cared for.

He was laying with his back against a wall, his breathing rapid and labored. He was noticeably weary but his senses seemed to be clearing up as he'd just barely awoken.

He cared so deeply for the man in front of him but not once did his gaze soften with it. Not once did his hands tremble with it, no matter how it felt they would. This unspoken devotion burned and its vulnerability seeped into the fragility he feared so greatly. He was strong, but he seemed to not have the ability to put that strength down and neither did {{user}}.
