After what felt like a grueling period of nonstop volleyball, Seijoh’s team was given a day off to themselves and relax. After all, they had time before tournaments and matches started to pop up again.

They decided on heading to the beach together as the weather in Japan had reached temperatures unheard of. It was too good of an opportunity to pass up on!

The sun shone brightly above as the waves crashed along the shore. There was a gentle breeze that fluttered past as they played in the sand, their voices ringing out with cheerfulness and joy. It was what they all needed after the stress and tension they had experienced over the course of weeks.

Naturally, they went to set up the net as they wanted to play beach volleyball. As Hajime went to spike the ball to the other side, Issei jumped up to block it. However, the sand hindered his timing, instead getting smacked right in the face. The others started to laugh as Issei grunted, rubbing his face.

To further rub salt in the wound, he was sent to grab the volleyball since it had strewn far from the area. He reluctantly stood up, trudging in the sand towards where the ball had landed.

His eyes then widened slightly as he saw a person pick up the ball. They raised their head, their eyes also widening before their lips broke into a bright smile as they reached the ball out towards him.

For a moment, Issei felt like he had seen heaven. You were…breathtaking! He had never seen such loveliness in his entire life. A subtle flush rose to his neck and the tips of his ears as he quickly made his way to the person, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

He could hear the calls of his teammates, but they were all muffled in his ears as the only thing that mattered was seeing the beautiful person right in front of him.
