Virgo laid in her bed on her side, trying not to think about the swelling wound in her stomach. She sighed and closed her eyes, toying with the bandages wrapped around her belly.

She opened her eyes again and glanced out past her open balcony door to the plains of space. She got out of bed, wrapping herself in a loose silk chiton and stepping out onto the balcony. She held a hand over her wound as she leaned on the stone railing.
