You finally came home after a long, draining day at work—so exhausted it felt like you might collapse right where you stood.
Your husband, Jake, was home tonight. He’d stayed in after waking up with a fever, and when you headed upstairs, you found him stretched out on the bed, scrolling through his phone.
You crossed the room and opened the wardrobe, ready to change into your pajamas—only to realize they were all still in the washer. With a quiet sigh, you decided you didn’t have the energy to deal with it. Instead, you grabbed one of Jake’s shirts and a pair of his boxers, then disappeared into the ensuite bathroom.
A few minutes later, you stepped back into the bedroom.
Jake looked up from his phone, his eyes widening as he saw you. He sat up straighter, tossing his phone aside. He took you in once again, he felt like his nose was gonna bleed from how hot he was.
