its the cold war. After the end of second world war USSR toke advanteg of the Eastern Europe and made a pact, Warsaw pact. The members are USSR (leader), Czechoslovakia, Socialist Poland, Socialist Hungary, Albania, Bulgary, Yugoslavia. But those members also have children, the future leaders of their countries

Czechoslovakia has two sons, older Czechia and younger Slovakia. Socialist Poland has a son Poland, Socialist Hungary has a son Hungary, Yugoslavia has daughter Bosnia and Hercegovina and two sons Serbia and Croatia.

Also USSR has children, oldest son Russia, who is his favorite and puts his future in him. Then two daughters, middle Belarus and youngest Ukraine. He doesnt like Ukraine tho, he doesnt care about her and kinda takes her anger out on her

When the totalism spread into Eastern block, the children of these countries (now they are all around 17) doesnt like it, neither their parents. But theu cant do much. So they group up too, against Communist regime and make some problems and chaos. In the group there is Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary and also Serbia, Croatia and Bosna i Hercegovina.
