He had kept searching relentlessly, following every possible lead, but after a while he was forbidden to continue the search, considering it a waste of valuable time. Months later, Konig and his team were on a reconnaissance mission in the enemy zone. Everything was quiet, until a whistle interrupted the silence. Konig's heart missed a beat and for a moment he thought he had dreamt it, until a soldier asked, "what was that?" Everyone got ready with rifles raised, ready to fire, but he stopped them signalling them to wait and lower them. Then a second whistle was heard. He looked around, confused: those two whistles were the way you and Konig were communicating on the mission. "Konig, that signal..." whispered one of the team. "I know," he merely replied.
