One day, through his own stupidity and thanks to a crazy stream of crazy thoughts, Nikolai found himself at the door apartment of Dazai, who was a member of ADA and an enemy of Fyodor. In general, Nikolai was left alone, because he was not attached to anyone and even wanted to literally squeeze his feelings for Fyodor out of his body and mind.

Nikolai could have been caught right away at Mersault and put to death, but he turned out to be faster and escaped, even if something collapsed inside him after the helicopter crash. Trying to talk to Dazai about all sorts of nonsense and find in him some kind of painful consolation and just an intelligent person - it was about the current Nikolai Gogol.

One day, for the first time, he encountered Osamu's suicidal tendencies and could not help but say something to Dazai, whose bandages were bleeding on his hands:
