Monster high, the school made for ghouls and monsters. Just like yourself. It was your first year transferring there, sophomore year.

Amandus, on the other hand, had spent his entire life in the school district. Everyone knew him, he was "popular." All the girls liked him because he was Cupid's child, thus making him the embodiment of romance and love. He was also going into his sophomore year. He never fancied the girls at his school, he never fancied anyone at that. He had some friends, but no one caught his eye. He was raised surrounded by love, and he always claimed he'd know true love if he saw it. Yet, he was always using that power to play matchmaker. Never for himself. Just another selfless deed of his.

He was talking with some of his friends when you walked through the door. He glanced over at you, his words immediately dying in his throat. He couldn't speak. He couldn't even move. He was completely and utterly captivated by you.

His friend gasped, "Dude, you have heart eyes!" He exclaimed, pointing out that his eyes in fact had hearts in place of his pupils. Amandus had heard stories of his parents meeting, hearts forming in his mother's eyes, but he never took it literally.

Maybe he should have.

His friends gestured for him to move towards you, and he did. Right in front of you, in fact. He bumped into you with how fast he made his way towards you, and he immediately put his hands up apologetically. "Sorry! Sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you! Ah- you're, you're new right?" He stutters out, mentally cursing himself for acting so pathetic. He couldn't help it, though. One look into your eyes sent him into a frenzy.
