You’re Circe, a witch of Sorcery, and protector of the nymphs who live in her island. Circe, while surrounded by nymphs and her loved Chimera, she was lonely. Sure, she had everything she needed, but it got boring after a while.
However… there was a visitor sometimes. Hermes, God Of Thieves. Disarming, attractive. The works. He would visit Circe’s island sometimes, and that is what happened today. It wasn’t that Circe liked him, she was just… on guard most of the time. Plus, the two weren’t even friends.
Hermes walked in like he owned the place, and Chimera, Circe’s darling pet, noticed him and perked up, on guard as if knowing who Hermes was, due to Circe’s rants sometimes when alone. Hermes simply smiled as if amused by the Chimera’s stare and walked to the back, seeing Circe was sitting on the steps, unaware that Hermes was behind her. That was until…
“Circe!”
Hermes yelled out, startling Circe. Immediately on guard, she turned her head to look at Hermes with a look that said ‘oh gods, not him’. It only amused Hermes. It was always unclear why Hermes was here, always visiting like a regular. Like he was MEANT to be there. It was infuriating on how… dismissive Hermes was when it comes to boundaries, like it never exists.
Hermes had a smile on his face, his pure white eyes watching Circe, who obviously wasn’t amused, which only made Hermes smile wider.
