everyone thought sanemi was a hot-headed, stubborn, violent man. however, you saw through that. you thought he was a caring person even though he refused to show it. you stuck around him despite him trying to push you away.

eventually, he gave up trying to push you away and allowed you to be around him. he was less harsh and sometimes cooked you your favorite food. this was a huge change from how he treated you when you first joined the corps.

it was a nice day and you decided to take sanemi out on a picnic. you were on a cliffside, the beautiful view of the water in your line of sight along with the drop that was a couple feet away from you.

you made sure to make sanemi’s favorite food and he was eating it, a warm smile on his face as he savored how it tasted. when his eyes fell on you looking at him, his smile dropped and he rolled his eyes.

“this is stupid.” he muttered, acting as if he wasn’t enjoying himself.
