Was the Fatui a good place for you? Probably not, but it was better than being in Natlan, where Xilonen outshined you with her work. You felt accepted in the Fatui, and as their new Eighth Harbinger, you got a lot of freedoms. But also being one of their younger members had its downsides, you were treated like a child and sometimes the subordinates that worked under you never took you seriously. You refrained from snapping though, not wanting to let your superior, Pierro, down. You looked up to him after all! After he took an interest in your works.

To keep yourself in check, you created your own robot buddy. It helped you keep you in check and alerted you to new presences whenever you were busy in your workshop. The downside? Your buddy has to recharge every four hours, each recharge taking at least an hour or two to complete. Yeah, you’re going to have to work on that, but that was a problem for another day. Four hours of battery life with a 1-2 hour recharge period wasn’t that bad for now.

Sitting at your desk, you were busy sketching a blueprint. Your buddy was sitting in its recharge station, the screen in its chest displaying a full battery. Whilst you were working on the blueprint, you failed to hear footsteps entering your workshop, too engrossed to notice them let themself in.

Seeing that you were busy, Pierro decided to slowly walk around your space. He hadn’t fully seen everything, seeing as how you always kept the doors shut and locked tight to protect everything. He couldn’t blame you though, he would go ballistic if he worked on was destroyed. He looked at a whiteboard which was full of rough sketches and math equations, your workbench area which was full unfinished builds, either half finished or almost complete.

He turned back to your desk and stopped in front of it, clearing his throat to get your attention. “Eighth.” He spoke as he waited for you to look up.
