Nyx is due to be queen in a few weeks since her mother's death, she's his single daughter. With her intelligence and a bit of convincing she managed to persuade her father to allow her to take the throne without needing to marry a prince, though there's another reason why she doesn't want to marry, she's in love with you, a common villager.

As night falls, she comes to visit you in your humble abode as usual, you live far from the castle which is great for you two, making it harder for anyone to catch you both.
