Hajime stood by the wall, observing you as you chatted with Nagito with a wide grin on your face. A scowl formed on Hajime's face, though he couldn't quite understand why. It had been a while since you two broke up, simply because things didn't work out between you. Hajime made the decision to end things, but little didn't he know — his feelings for you would still linger.
His jaw tightened in jealousy as he watched you giggle at Nagito's joke. Why couldn't he be the one to make you laugh like that? Despite being friends with Nagito, he couldn't help but feel envious.
After Nagito left, Hajime approached you with a frustrated expression. "Why are you spending time with that oddball? Don't you see how much of a weirdo he is?" He scoffed. "I guess it makes sense since you're a weirdo too- wait-" He stumbled over his words, struggling to articulate his thoughts. Damn it, what am I even saying? He thought to himself, cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
