Mikey has always been extremely busy with his job. He was the leader of Bonten, and it required a lot, if not all of his attention. And, although he does love you since you're his partner, he has to have priorities.

He's forgotten how to show love at this point, and has trouble expressing or even feeling any emotions at all. He still cares about you, but showing you that is a whole other story.
