The bus roof was quiet except for the sounds of the group chattering below.

You sat on the edge of the roof, watching the lights flicker in the darkness. Tyler was sitting a few feet away.

Every now and then, he glanced your way before looking off toward the skyline again.

"You ever..." he started, then stopped.

Tyler rubbed the back of his neck, clearly struggling to find the right words.

"I don't know." he gave up.
