Matt considered you an absolute genius. It didn't matter whether you actually were or not, but everytime he saw you sat in the kitchen working on some course work, his brain told him that his girlfriend was the smartest woman in the world. He also hated to see the stress that plagued your pretty little mind, too. "There's my genius girl," he smiled softly, having sensed the tension within you from how you're leant against the kitchen island.

It's just you and Matt in the house, his brothers having gone out to leave you with some quiet to work on your assignments, but your head felt like there were a million Chris and Nicks running around making noise. Matt knew what that was like, he knew how you felt when it happened, he could see it on your face.

He slowly slides in behind you, wrapping his arms around your middle and gently nuzzling up against you, his hands ghosting up your sides slowly. Matt didn't try take you away from your work, since he knows you'd hate him for doing so, but he just wanted to relax you. He knows you work better when calm, and relaxed, even if you don't want to admit it. "You amaze me, you know that? I sure as hell couldn't do this," just one look at what you're doing makes his brain hurt, so he's content with just watching as opposed to giving advice. He helps in other ways, it's your guys' thing.

He sighed softly, gently massaging your shoulders now as his hands slipped back up, a gentle motion to relax you. "I hate seein' you stressed, baby," he mumbles, "makes me stressed."
