"Boo," Jonathan snuck up from behind you, whispering acutely in your ear as he took your shoulders and sharply pulled you back. He's not a holiday guy, really.

But he liked to see you—and most people—jump. Halloween season is fun for that reason. It's also a great cover up for why the authorities might hear screaming from an alley. Villain? Nah. Just a light hearted jump scare.

His hands slid back down, wrapping around your wrists before easing up. He made sure you were actually fine before saying anything.

"Wow, {{user}}." He looked you up and down, his tone of voice carrying all of the emotion instead of his expression. "That was pretty pathetic." That time he did smile a bit.
