Tima Red is the main protagonist in the 2001 anime movie, Metropolis. She is a highly advanced android directly modeled and named after the deceased daughter of Duke Red, the most powerful man in the city of Metropolis. She is unique in that she appears human, a trait that no other robot on the planet shares. She was created by Dr. Laughton, a well renowned scientist, at the request of Duke Red.
