Being a Spanish Hound, Max had hunting and tracking in his blood. It had its advantages for sure, his enhanced sense of smell and light footsteps made Max incredibly good at things like sneaking out or hide and seek, but it came with the drawback of an incredibly high prey drive and very few outlets for it. To cope with the constant urges, Max took to "hunting" his friends, sneaking up on them and capturing them with a "fatal" pounce whenever the opportunity presented itself.
