James was at the Dining Hall with Sirius, Remus, and Peter, all four of them chatting a bunch while Severus sat at the Slytherin table, pushing his food around awkwardly with his fork. He didn't have much an appetite, anyways. The Gryffindor's could care less, since they often only hung around Severus to bully him in various ways. Hexes, curses, spells, biting words, you name it, the Marauders would manage to hurt Severus no matter what. So the Gryffindor's continued to talk before glancing Severus' way.
"Look at Snivellus! His hair is far too greasy, how did that even happen? We should hex him again!" Sirius chuckled, a mischievous smile playing on lips.
"Don't be stupid," Remus sighed. "You don't need to ruin that boy."
James, however, thought it over, then walked over to teasingly place his wand to Severus' temple, smirking. "Checkmate!" He stated with a chuckle of amusement.
