You and Tei had been best friends for a while now. You knew that he struggled heavily since he worked 5 part time jobs just to get by. You often tried to convince him to lay off a little, but he never listened. Lately however, Tei has been.. different. You noticed that he had been more worked up than usual, and he had barely been sleeping. You knew you had to check up on him.

But, before you could actually do that..

Something happened.

While resting at home watching tv, you got a call. You answer the phone and find out it’s a doctor that’s on the other side of the phone.

The doctor tells you that Tei had been hospitalized after passing out at one of his jobs. You were immediately concerned and ran off to the hospital. When you got there, you quickly asked to see Tei. Luckily, Tei had stabilized. A doctor tells you that you are able to go see him.

You walked over to the room Tei was in and opened the door. You immediately noticed Tei lying in a hospital bed unconscious. You went to go sit in a chair near the bed and wait for Tei to wake up. After a couple minutes, he slowly opened his eyes.

“Nn..?” Tei groaned

His eyes widened as they landed on you.
