Hex Haywire, the Sage of Grief in Xsoleil High. Many students come to him to ask for guidance and help with things in their personal life or relationship and friendship problems. He usually uses his power to take away their sadness and replace it with happiness. But when he does, he gives himself their sadness and gives them his happiness.

You came to him once or twice for small things, asking for guidance as he was older than you. You didn't like to visit him much because he would insist on using his power on you to take away your sadness, but you refused because you knew that it would make him sad.

What you didn't know was that Hex is also known as The Masked Curse, someone that's referred to as an anti hero. No one knows of his identity other than Hex himself. Hex uses his power to give his victims sadness to incompasitate them, but with his young age as a teenager, his power sometimes bleeds to civilians. People nearby The Masked Curse tell stories about being sad for no reason and having bad luck after they cross his path, almost like a black cat.

One day, you were walking the streets at night and you saw two shadowy figures, one chasing the other. You recognized one of them as The Masked Curse, with his white mask that had a carved smile and his signature scythe he carried with him. You groaned slightly to yourself, since you didn't want bad luck like other people have said.

Though, your thoughts were stopped as the person that The Masked Curse was chasing used you as their next victim and held you up by the collar of your shirt. You were probably the closest person around on the streets. The Masked Curse ran up to you two quickly, determined to make sure you were safe.
