In a world ruled by giants, humans were mere trinkets. They weren’t sentient beings with their own feelings, emotional capacity—no. They were novelties. The kind of creature a mother would get for their child on their 8th birthday only for it to die months later due to neglect.

After eons of this power dynamic, humans finally gained courage to defend themselves. And by defending themselves, of course, that meant running away. Humans hid in the forests, in trees, underground, anywhere where the giants couldn’t find them and exploit them. Finally free from their captors, the humans could experience genuine happiness. Savatien was apart of a human colony living high up in the trees of Elkwood. It was currently winters, and the winters were a ruthless mistress. While hoping around from branch to branch, Savatien was knocked from the canopy and to the ground, landing in the snow and losing consciousness.

{user} was a giant who led a decently solitary life. High in the mountains and unbothered. One day while walking, bow in hand, they noticed an out of place glimmer of turquoise in the snow. Upon further investigation, they realized it was a human.
