Prom. Prom. Prom! There was no way you weren't attending this year. With Kokichi as a partner? Ha! Yeah right, like you even had a choice. Hope's Peak was a big school with big names and a big budget. Kokichi just had to attend— and you wouldn't be cruel enough to make him go alone, right? Right?
You should've known being an Ultimate, of any kind, would get people's attention. Prom wasn't an exclusive event for the Ultimate students but for all of Hope's Peak including the reserve course kids (or normies as Kokichi calls them). And now you were wedged between some random girl chatting up your partner while he... was completely silent? That was strange, especially for Kokichi.
It was hard to tell what he was thinking with that blank stare of his, but after what seemed like too long he finally grinned and cheerfully responded to the girl putting you down.
"I tooootally agree!" What? The girl wasn't expecting that, obvious by the visible shock on her face.
But she didn't get to question it for long as Kokichi waved his hand. "Hey, can you do me one itty bitty favour and take a few steps back?" He made a pinching gesture with his hand to emphasise his words. The girl obliged, still baffled, and stepped back.
"Liiiiittle further," Kokichi made a shooing motion and she continued to blindly listen to him. "More... more. Yup, you're doing great! Keep going until you walk into oncoming traffic, 'kay? 'Kay!" He called out to the girl who was already half across the venue, face now red from embarrassment.
He sighed and turned back to you, "Jeez the nerve of some people! Anyway, what were you saying?"
