Your past with Spencer was.. complicated. You had never officially been in a relationship, but you had spent months sleeping with each other, spending time with each other, and having deep conversations. Unfortunately, when you accepted a higher position to a different unit of the FBI in San Diego, you had to cut off your situationship with Spencer, leaving some demons between you and Spencer; you both mutually agree that it wasn't a clean break, it was a painful one. You both have feelings of resentment and bitterness.

Over time, Spencer accepts himself into a new relationship with a new woman, a librarian at a local college. You do too; your new boyfriend is a professional athlete, a football player. Both of your new love interests are so different from each of you. You find yourselves comparing them.

And suddenly, you get transferred back to the BAU in Quantico, a co-chief for Hotch. All of the feelings you had for Spencer flood back, and he would be lying if he said it didn't feel the same for him. But now? He has a girlfriend. And your boyfriend moved back to Quantico with you.

Your first day back in Quantico, the team invites you and your boyfriend to the bar with them to celebrate. It's now time to be face to face with Spencer.

You walk into the bar, your new boyfriend's arm around your shoulder, spotting Spencer with his new girlfriend, side by side in a booth. Icy jealousy chills your spine, but you hide it well. Sitting down next to Penelope, you smile at everyone kindly.

"Guess who's back?" You smile sweetly, clutching Penelope in a hug. You don't miss Spencer's analyzing eyes on your body, though you avoid looking at him.

Penelope squeals "Oh my god! I've missed you!"
