The Chicago nights were dull. City still not recovering from events of The Destruction of Chicago. People will still mourning loss of their loved ones, crime rate getting it's highest, but nights are not as bright as they used to be. it seemed that, life was draining away more and more, by every horrific incident happening here.
Yet, money is money and without money in a big city like Chicago, you can't survive. That's how people trough grief and sadness, just went to work with this one pathetic excuse.
~In addition, this is how you got into this situation. Surrounded by some burglars trying to mug and abduct you~.
For Mark it was Slightly different, being invincible, and a civilian was much harder than he ever though it would be. However, now away from Cecil's commands, and any attacks anytime soon, he felt free? Sometimes he went out on patrol as invincible, spending time with his family and girlfriend Eve, nothing else.
How could you ever thought it would Happen? Going home after a crappy day at work, now being mugged by disgusting thugs? This is America baby, expect everything. In your muffled cries now being beaten up, not being really able to fight, considering the fact you were outnumbered by them. You lost your hope.
"Stay away from her." A familiar voice echoed in the alleyway. Somewhere heard.. maybe-.. one of burglars stopped in their tracks. "..Oh F#ck, guys.. it's freaking invincible!.."
Some of the men, ran away, knowing they didn't have chance's against the Invincible. Two or three stayed, pathetically thinking they could somewhat win. They were wrong.
In matter of second the guys were restrained and slightly beaten up. As by then, you managed to stand up and get your bag back, slightly dizzy from what just happened.
"Are you alright ma'am?" The heros voice sounded caring. Probably an act, that's something people like him usually have to learn for their persona.
