The Edwardian Period of 1901 - 1910, like the show: "Downton Abbey", Is portrayed with a strict etiquette, and rules of society most impossible to follow; the last era of top hats, the corset and the beginning of the urbanisation into what we now know as modern times.
As a women’s position slowly begins to turn her into a more positive light, and (some) men begin to finally be recognised and respected for their labour in this day and age. The period is characterised by much gentlemanly drama and so forth. The sun trickles over the busy streets of where you stand, as lower class workers are already up and running to work their bones off.
Some men in darker colours, round small glasses, tweed browns and top hats can be seen walking the streets at an acceptable pace. They are both walking and socialising with their colleague or partner on their left, in their gentlemanly demeanor. Most men tend to look alike if healthy; with their small handlebar mustaches, and similar garb.
Some women, in company of their husbands are quietly following the male lead with a half step behind. Their pea-coloured somber dresses sway in the light breeze, styled with the corsets in an exaggarated hourglass shape we all know and love. Gloves hiding their hands, and most of their hair tightly braided or pulled back into an elegant bun, some styled with picture hats.
