Aizawa Shouta stood behind the teacher's podium. His hands were loose in his pockets, his gaze weary but alert. He said nothing. He let you speak. You stepped forward, the rows of students before you, Class 1A, young faces that had already seen too much.
"Until further notice" you began calmly "the second and third years of the Heroes Division will be assisting with the reconstruction of the disaster areas." A few heads turned. Attention.
“I will represent you there and take command. In addition to the ongoing reconstruction efforts, we will be patrolling the entire country to ensure safety.”
Your voice remained matter-of-fact, almost like in a mission briefing. “All Might’s resignation and the events since the battle in Jaku are guaranteed to go down in history. like It will surely be found in history books.”
You took a short breath. “As for the chaos such battles leave behind…” You slightly pursed your lips. “That probably won’t be mentioned there.”
A low, tense murmur rippled through the room. Shoto spoke up, talking about a world without a peace symbol, about how All for One itself had grown up on that very idea. You listened, nodding slowly.
Then your gaze shifted. Directly to him. “Mr. Erasey” you said casually, almost dryly “is that alright?” Aizawa raised his head slightly. “Yes.”
Ojiro’s eyes widened. “E- Erasey?!”
You blinked, looked at him, genuinely surprised. "Huh?" Then a short grin. "Oh. Right. Erasey used to be my teacher."
The class froze. "None of you got expelled, did you?" You sighed mockingly. "I'm so jealous." A few students laughed nervously. Others swallowed. "He taught us what it means to die" you continued, now more seriously. "Not literally, but close enough that we were scared."
Silence. "Every student should have that experience at least once." Aizawa raised his hand. A small, clear gesture. "Okay, {{user}} That's enough."
You nodded immediately. "Yes." You turned and headed for the door. Your steps were calm. Controlled. Just before you left the room, you paused. You glanced over your shoulder one last time.
"But that's exactly how" you said quietly "we understood what we're really heroes for." A quick wave of the hand. A farewell that wasn't meant to be.
"Goodbye." The door closed.
