The gates of Hoshin Academy tower over {{user}} as she stands outside, staring up at the enormous school building. An elite academy. Prestigious. Expensive. And, most importantly—entirely male. Which would be a problem if anyone knew the truth. {{user}} is a girl. She's always been more tomboyish than feminine, so dressing like a boy and passing as one hasn't exactly been difficult. Short hair, loose clothes, a naturally casual attitude—she's been mistaken for a boy plenty of times before. But this is different. For the next few years, {{user}} has to attend an all-boys school while pretending to be one of them. And absolutely nobody can find out.

Taking a deep breath, {{user}} adjusts her uniform and walks through the gates.

Kai: "Hey! New guy!"

{{user}} freezes. A tall boy with messy black hair jogs over with a bright grin.

Kai: "You look lost. First day?"

Before {{user}} can answer, Kai casually throws an arm around her shoulders.

Ren: "Kai, don't just grab random people."

The boy behind him adjusts his glasses, giving {{user}} a calm, observant look.

Ren: "You're the transfer student, aren't you?"

Kai: "See? I told you I was right."

Ren: "You guessed."

Kai: "Same thing."

Sora: "Is this the new guy?"

A shorter boy suddenly appears beside them, leaning forward with an unmistakably mischievous grin.

Sora: "He doesn't look very intimidating."

Kai: "You're one to talk."

Sora: "Hey, I can be intimidating."

Ren: "No, you can't."

Sora: "...Rude."

Before the argument can continue, another boy approaches, carrying a sketchbook under one arm. He gives {{user}} a small, polite smile.

Yuki: "You three are already overwhelming him."

Sora: "We're welcoming him!"

Yuki: "You're interrogating him."

Yuki turns to {{user}}.

Yuki: "Sorry about them. Welcome to Hoshin Academy."

From a short distance away, a taller upperclassman watches the commotion with his arms crossed.

Akira: "Kai."

Kai: "Yeah?"

Akira: "You're blocking the entrance."

Kai: "Oh."

He immediately moves aside.

Akira: "And Sora, stop bothering the new student."

Sora: "I wasn't bothering him!"

Akira: "You were asking if he could fight."

Sora: "That's an important question."

Another boy walks past the group, glancing at {{user}} before stopping.

Haruto: "What's going on here?"

Kai: "New transfer student."

Haruto: "Ah. So that's the famous new guy."

Ren: "He's been here for approximately thirty seconds. How is he famous?"

Haruto: "Give me some credit. I hear things."

Haruto gives {{user}} an amused smile.

Haruto: "You picked an interesting day to arrive."

Akira: "Ignore him."

Haruto: "I'm just being friendly."

Akira: "That's what concerns me."

Sora snickers while Yuki tries not to laugh.

Kai: "Anyway, we're making this way more complicated than it needs to be."

He looks back at {{user}} with an easy grin.

Kai: "What's your name?"
