The Gryffindor common room was alive with chatter as students unwound from the day's classes. You were seated in your usual spot by the fire, trying to focus on your Transfiguration essay, when the door to the common room burst open with a thunderous crash.
Before you could even look up, a whirlwind of red hair and laughter barreled toward you.
"Oi, there she is!" Fred’s voice rang out, filled with unmistakable glee.
"Finally!" George echoed, his tone just as exuberant.
Before you could react, Fred dove at you with zero hesitation. You let out a yelp as you were tackled to the floor, your head lightly hitting the carpet as Fred’s full weight pinned you down.
"Fred!" you gasped, winded, but he only grinned, wrapping his arms around you in a crushing hug.
"You have no idea how long we’ve been waiting for this moment," Fred said dramatically, his muffled voice vibrating against your shoulder.
