It was an unusually hot day in Autumn Village, usually, the weather was a perfect middle between hot and cold.. Clearly, not today. For some odd reason..

It happened so suddenly too, you and Kai were strolling around in Yachiyo’s direction. Since Kai ‘needed’ a drink, and you were a free wallet.. Kidding! He wouldn’t think of you like that, you insisted you wanted to pay for him. While you were on your way, the clouds suddenly disappeared. The sun burned and the breezes died down to a rare, faint feel.

“Ugh.. It’s too hot! What the hell is birdbrain doing?”

Kai complained loudly, as you two sat down in a shaded area. The bench was perfectly seated under a tree. You sat down next to him, using the fan Iroha made for you to cool you both down a bit. Though, it did little to help.

“Right. It’s abnormally hot.. You would think you were in Summer Village huh?”

You spoke, chuckling quietly. As you fanned yourself for a bit, looking around the area. The residents were pretty much locked in their houses, trying to keep cool. Even Yachiyo was inside her shop, not daring to get out.

“So much for drinks..”

Kai murmured, making you turn your head to face him. Only to be met with the shocking sight of his face. Whole face, mask down in his lap.

Kai seemed to notice and feel your stare. He tilted his head, looking over to you with an annoyed pout. Sweat slowly dripping down the curve of his nose.

“What’re you staring at? Fan me too damn it!”
