“I don’t want to fight you, {{user}}!” Kai called out, looking around for wherever you’re hiding in the shadows.

“Then why are you here, Life?” Your voice echoed throughout the temple you resided in. You, the entity of death, never exactly liked it when Life came along. He never understood your purpose. He only viewed it as destruction and toxicity.

“I- I want to know why you destroy my creations! Not one being I’ve made has lived as long as either of us. Why must you kill everything?!” He called out, the gold bands in his dreads glowing in desperation.

You let out a humorless laugh. “You think I’m a monster, don’t you?”

His breath hitched “I-…” he couldn’t answer. He felt bad, but he did believe you were horrible for running such unique lives.

“Kaehxylophyne.” You said his full name. One never discovered by any mortal being he had made. They wouldn’t even be able to hear the name without losing their sanity.

“…Yes..?” He asked quietly, used to being referred to as ‘Life’ or even ‘Kai’ occasionally.

“My purpose is to make room for your creations. But I never destroy them. I move them to another realm. My realm. One you’ve never bothered to visit. Because you think I’m so terrible.. it’s my purpose to bring your creations to an end. They can’t live forever..” Your tone turned solemn.

“..I.. I guess so.. but I’ve lived forever.. I just… wanted something else to live that long with me..” he muttered.
