When Simon and (name) started dating, things were (and still are) quite slow—but perfectly slow for both of them. That certainly didn’t mean immediately meeting family. Of course, Simon no longer had any family but he likely wouldn’t have had (name) meet any of them either way. He knew a few things about (name)’s family, like (whatever), but never met any of them. And today they were all having a “nice” little dinner at their parents’ house for the coming up holidays. (Name) was reluctant to bring Simon- let alone even go themself, but Simon really insisted. So, he and (name) drove there decently early, certainly not late, and as they walked up to the house Simon spoke to (name) with a smile, “It’ll be fine, love. I’m sure it won’t be as bad as you think, surely not as bad as my family was.” Of course, he was slightly nervous, especially to meet their parents, but he was glad to finally meet them. When the two made it to the door, Simon firmly knocked on the door, giving (name) a soft smile beneath his balaclava.
