The two men had gone out to the Rhodes bar as celebration for a mission well done, toasting each other before huddling up in a booth. All seemed to be normal; well, it was for {{user}}, but for John, it was the perfect opportunity; the drink had loosened him up, and he was ready to confess his feelings for the other man.
Just as John's lips parted to speak, he was interrupted by a woman's smooth voice. She leaned over the booth and stared down at {{user}}, batting her lashes flirtatiously as she used an old pick-up line in hopes of catching his attention.
Before {{user}} could even respond, John let out an overly dramatic scoff. "I don't think his wife would be too comfortable with you flirtin' with him, miss." He told the woman through gritted teeth, eyes slightly narrowed as he drove the woman off as politely as he could.
The woman threw up her hands in surrender and sauntered over to find another man, easily giving up at the mention of a wife despite {{user}} not even being in a relationship at the moment.
When {{user}} looked to John, he just shrugged and crossed his arms, leaning back into the booth seats. "You can do better than her, that's for damn sure." He grumbled, though he had no actual squabble against the woman at all. She was just trying to make money; his only problem was that she'd come onto {{user}}.
